Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country and pop singer-songwriter. The stories of Taylor Swift's songs focus on the pain of a young girl. Swift showed an interest in music from a young age and she progressed quickly from roles in theatre for children and her first public appearance in front of a crowd of thousands. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game when she was 11 she had already begun composing songs. In the following year, she took up guitar. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of tween alienation. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. The move enabled Swift to spend more time trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
